My name is Kelby Partridge and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. This book is my favorite book in the entire world – I read part of it every single night and I know that if you take the time to read this book and pray about the truthfulness in it, you’ll receive and answer that it is true.

This book can help you in every aspect of your entire life because the Gospel has helped me in so many ways – I can’t even begin to describe in words how much I love this Gospel and it saved my life multiple times and multiple ways and I can’t help but share how much I love this Gospel.

And I want everybody to be able to have what I have because I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. And I hope that everybody that sees this, decides to read this book – the Book of Mormon. It’s the best book on the planet earth. And I hope that once you read it and pray about it and receive the answer that you will too become baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so that you can return to the Heavenly Father again and live with your families forever.

And I say that in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

I came to know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true because one day I woke and wanted something different. I don’t know what it was. It was a feeling inside my heart and I went to watch TV. I didn’t write all of these things but this is what I wanted to read to you guys, so I can tell you at the same time I knew something wasn’t right that day that I got up. And it was just so sad, I didn’t write all of this, but I wanted to tell you and so that you can record it.

It just was like this weird feeling that I knew that I was lost – you know what I’m saying? Like I couldn’t find my way home, it was the strangest… I just wanted different. This was not it. I felt confused, lost and I was in my own home but I felt like I needed to go home. You see what I’m saying? It was crazy.

So I got up and turned the TV on and there was this guy on TV, his name is Joel Olstein, I don’t know if you ever seen him before. But he’s a pastor that does TV type of deal from Huston, Texas. And he has like the friendliest eyes ever. But that same day, I sat and I listened. So the guy came on and I normally would change, but today the church channel was really holding me to not change it. And I sat there and I listened and then I started crying. I wanted to feel the feeling that I felt that moment when I started crying and I was listening to his words. Cause he was reading from the Bible, he was doing Scriptures. And I was feeling him – the words meant something different this time when he was reading.

So I wanted to feel like that in that moment. And when he quoted, I wanted to hear more. So I began to pray. And I prayed like my life depended on it. And then he said to find a good Bible-based church. He always says that at the end of the show. And then, at this point, I’m starting to ponder. I’m crying and pondering on that I needed to find a good church. Is that what’s wrong with me? I need to find a good church.

But I thought about it and who really wants to be around a bunch of pushy people in your life? Who needs that? I was sitting, thinking about that thought and there was someone knocking at my door. And at that moment I dried my tears up and I peeped out the window and I saw what I thought was some Jehovah’s Witnesses. So what I said was “Jehovah’s Witnesses? Darn!” – that isn’t what I said.

So I looked up, right before I opened the door and I said “Christ, I asked you for a sign, but you sent them!” And so I opened the door with no clothes on and tears on my face and a nasty attitude. But then, a sister said “Nicole, how are you?” and I’m looking like this. She says “Are you doing okay, sister Nicole?” And I knew at that moment, when I looked at her face when she said that, I just had to unlock the door. I knew Heavenly Father had sent her, at that moment.

I needed a sister and kind spirit, a person to listen to me. Tell me the directions to the nearest temple – and that was her. That, on the other hand, the view from my bedroom is the Mormon temple. Every day and every night. He is watching me from up the hill. So I’ve been curious for a while about the temple, I just never really pushed it, you know? And he sent the right people to me. So we prayed, me and the sister that day and I learned about the right Gospel, the right one.

Day one, I felt like I found what I’ve been seeking. And prayed for the truth and the real, not fake people to be around me. And you bet, I cried, but everyone there is real. They are nice and decent people. And my real fellow brethren. I feel complete now and a little scared because my prayers are being answered and that’s not normal for me. The more I learn and pray and follow the commandments, my life has been improving in such a short time that I was wondering where has this church been my whole life. Right up the hill. At the very top, right out my barren window, lid up every night like Motel 6, the light is always on. And now that’s in my heart.

I just wasn’t listening or really looking in the right direction. So my sisterhood and my sister prayed with me and I started a new life that day and never looked back. Pushing forward and enduring to the end. He is the Life and the Light to the world. A light that is endless and can’t ever be darkened. And also, a life which is endless that there can be no more death. Even this mortal shall put on and flip on immortality and this corruption has put on incorruption and shall be brought to stand before the bar of God to be judged of him, according to their words.

Thank you sister, you taught me that. And you awakened my love to read again. I haven’t read anything in 2 years. Now I’m reading 4 books at once. The Book of Mormon, D&C, True to the Faith and a little bit of Gospel Principles. I love my new family and my new life. So that’s how I came to know that the church was true and that the Gospel is really real. And you can’t tell me any different. And I say this in the name of my saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Hey everybody. So this is my testimony for December 27th, 2009. This is because it changed with time. I believe that there is a God. I believe that we existed before this life. I believe that we came here to gain a body and to be tested and I believe that we live in God’s presence. I believe that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. I believe that if we lived by the Gospel and serve others and do what’s right, we can overcome the natural man and be perfected in Christ that we may live with him again and have eternal life.

I also believe that there is – actually, I won’t go that deep – I believe that the true Church was restored on the Earth and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that it’s true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is the current prophet and I believe that – I don’t know, there’s a lot to believe so I might not get into that.

But I believe that we’re here on this earth to be tested. And everybody makes mistakes, nobody is perfect and God knew that. That’s why he sent his only begotten son that he could die for our sins so that we can be forgiven and we can return and live with him again. But only if we work on it. That’s basically the beliefs of the LDS Church and they’re also my beliefs. So I am LDS. I’m Mormon, as some may call it, but I try not to be judgmental. I know that Mormons have a reputation of being judgmental but I really try not to be judgmental. You know, you have to draw the line somewhere. I’m not gonna surround myself with bad influence but I’m not gonna judge somebody, I’m not gonna hate somebody just because of their lifestyle.

Question of the day: Do you believe God exists? Yes or no answers. Don’t start flaming wars – if you don’t know what that is, Google it.

My name is Rick and I’ve been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. I was born into the church – my mother and father, I was there, second child and they continued having children, they have 9 children between them. But I grew up knowing the Gospel and when I became a missionary, by becoming a missionary, I decided to read what we call the Scriptures, The Bible, The Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants – I read those books before I left as a missionary so I’d know for myself if what I read was true and if I believed everything. And I did.

And I had many experiences in my life that confirm to me that the Gospel, the things that we teach are valid and true and is real. I know that one time, as a missionary, kind of a funny story – I had a desire not to be working when I was working. Because we had this car that constantly broke down and was being fixed. And I was being frustrated because I thought that all my time was being spent fixing the car instead of talking to people about what I believed in. And so, one night in the middle of the week I said a prayer and I said “Heavenly Father, that’s it – either the car goes or I go”.

Kind of a rash prayer. The very next morning, at about 6 thirty early in the morning, my mission president called and he said “I know it’s not time that we transfer missionaries, but I need to send you to another place as a missionary and it’s the only place in the whole mission – which is in Pennsylvania – that doesn’t have a car. Is that alright with you?” Of course! I was on a bus after that. So bicycles, bus and walking was the rest of the mission experience for me. I never had a car again.

And so I realized that if you say a prayer, it could be answered really fast. But I’ve prayed about the things I’ve read in the Book of Mormon because it tell you in there, it tells me to test it, prove it, read it. First you have to read it and so, everybody listening to me, I would honestly say get a copy of the Book of Mormon and read it for yourself. And find out for yourself that it’s true because that way you can stand on your own two feet and say “I know this is right, this is really the truth” and you don’t have to rely on somebody else which happens a lot to people who grow up as members of the church. They grow up looking at their parents or their friends and relatives: “Okay, they go to church, they do this, they don’t do that because it’s wrong” and so you just go off that faith.

But it’s good to have your own. Cause when it comes down to certain decisions, it’s often your own testimony that you look at to see if you’ll do what is right or not. And I’ve been able to do that because I have this testimony that the Book of Mormon is true. Joseph Smith, the prophet that translated the Book of Mormon, I know that he was a prophet. Through what I’ve studied about him, I studied his life, I read a lot about him, I’ve gone to classes – there were classes called “Institutes of religion” in universities and I’ve taken those and taken specific courses on church history and I’ve come to know those men and women that helped the LDS church grow and I understand that they had strong testimonies too.

But I know that if we pray, it will be answered. And I’ve seen that with my family, with being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have the Priesthood of God and we can use that and I used it on several occasions to bless people, make them feel better, some cases heal them – some are miraculous. Some not even members of my church asked for blessing and next day they were better – it depended on their faith too.

So I would like to bear this, my testimony, to those of you who are listening or want to watch this: that the Book of Mormon is true, it’s the word of God. It fits very well with the other Scriptures, the Bible – Old and New Testament. And I’d encourage you to read it for yourself and not take anybody else’s word for it. And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ who’s the head of this Church, Amen.

Man: I always believed that there’s a supreme Creator and we’re here because of that Supreme Creator. But when life actually gets so hard that there’s no food, there’s no other things, you feel like that Supreme Creator actually forgot about you. I felt that if God is truly the Father of Heaven, that created us, he should allow us to know the answers to life’s questions that allow us to have peace of mind and have hope in life.

In mid-1998 when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I was taught by a couple of young men. We call them missionaries. We had good discussions, we talked about life, we talked about spirituality, life before you come to earth, life after earth and I had a wonderful time asking questions, things that have never made sense to me before and were answered by these two young men. And the most amazing thing I learned was that the Supreme Creator is still there and he loves us so much, he wants us to know his plan and be able to live that plan long enough to prepare us to return to him again and to have a better life.

I actually have a very good relationship with this Supreme Creator, which is who we call God. He loves me very much and the more I know about him, the more I’m convinced that he loves me, that he has some good things and good plans for me to do in this life and then, better yet, he has a better plan for me after this life.

Man:Ki was born in Laos. He met and married his wife in Australia. Today, they and their 5 children live in Oakdale, Minnesota. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in July, 1998.
