My name is Kelby Partridge and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. This book is my favorite book in the entire world – I read part of it every single night and I know that if you take the time to read this book and pray about the truthfulness in it, you’ll receive and answer that it is true.

This book can help you in every aspect of your entire life because the Gospel has helped me in so many ways – I can’t even begin to describe in words how much I love this Gospel and it saved my life multiple times and multiple ways and I can’t help but share how much I love this Gospel.

And I want everybody to be able to have what I have because I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. And I hope that everybody that sees this, decides to read this book – the Book of Mormon. It’s the best book on the planet earth. And I hope that once you read it and pray about it and receive the answer that you will too become baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so that you can return to the Heavenly Father again and live with your families forever.

And I say that in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Man: I’ve got four sisters of which I’m the middle child. I’m the only boy.

Woman: I have two other sisters.

Man: A lot of people think that Mormons have huge families, that they’re like TLC families or 18 children, they keep on having them.

Woman: They actually aren’t like that. I actually have just one brother – there’s just the two of us and I have a mom and a dad and I have multiple moms.

Woman:There’s only 2 kids in my family.

Man: I have two brothers. That’s it.

Woman: Most people think that Mormon chicks get married when they’re like 18 cause they’re super desperate.

Man: I got married not at 18, I was 24 years-old.

Man: I’m not married. I’m dating people. I wanna get married, it just hasn’t happened yet. I’m almost 24.

Woman: I graduate this semester. I’ve made it through not only 4 years of school, but 6 years of school – college without getting married. 24, still not married. It’s kind of weird.

Man: We dated for 18 months. And then we got engaged and called it off and got married 4 months later. So after 2 years of dating this girl, we finally tied the knot.

Woman: I’m 19, almost 20. I don’t plan on getting married till I’m done with grad school.

Man: I don’t want us to have kids either. We’re gonna get the degree before we get the diapers.

Man: I’m from Rigby, Idaho. Not all Mormons are from Utah. We’re everywhere.

Woman: I’m from Hong Kong.

Man: Our church is worldwide. There’s actually more member of the church living outside of the US than inside the US.

Woman: I grew up in Canada, I was born in Hong Kong, though.

Man: There is this cookie-cutter, only in Utah – I grew up in California! I lived for 2 years in Brooklyn.

Woman: And I’m from South Carolina, not Utah, not Idaho, not any Mormon state, as some people thing.

Woman: A couple of misconceptions I think people have about our religion is that we don’t welcome other ethnic groups into our church, which isn’t true.

Man: We love everyone. The church is in Africa, the church is everywhere.

Woman: There are a lot of different races in our church. I’m from South Dakota and there are a lot of African Americans there. If you guys take a look, there’s a picture of me with an African American on the refrigerator.

Man: I think that the common misunderstanding is that Mormons are these freaky cults that sacrifice animals or they’re Amish or they’re these cookie-cutter people. Polygamy is a big one and that’s simply not true.

Woman: What’s up? Come inside! Take a look around in here and you’ll see that we have not one picture of Jesus, but we have two! There’s one over here. A lot of people think we worship Joseph Smith and we have a lot of Joseph Smith pictures everywhere. Pictures of the living prophet – we do have a picture of the prophet over here, but you’ll see that the main focus in our apartment is Jesus Christ.

Woman: From our first article, I think, we believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

Woman: Most people think that Mormons don’t believe in Christ and that they believe in Joseph Smith as a God or Moroni.

Woman: Yeah, we believe in God. And Joseph Smith, he’s a prophet.

Man: Mormons is just a nickname. The church has always been The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Woman: My church is based on the Heavenly Father and his plan and his son.

Woman: But actually, we believe in God and his son, Jesus Christ and we don’t worships Joseph Smith. We respect him and appreciate what he did, but we don’t like, bow down to him.

Man: Joseph Smith was a prophet just like Noah or Abraham or Moses. He was just in our generation. We believe in Jesus Christ and he is the son of God and he did do what the Bible – which we read, it’s my favorite to read, the scriptures, the gospels. We believe that he is the son of God, that he came down and he did everything that he says he did. He is our Savior if we accept him – that is my belief and that is the belief of millions of other Mormons.

Woman: We do have a book of Mormon, but we also have the Bible. The Bible was here first, we believe in Jesus Christ, obviously, we believe in the Bible.

Man: We believe in the Bible. King James comes in front of everything else we read. We quote that just as much we would any other book.

Man: So that idea that we worship some other being other than God or Jesus Christ is absolutely not true. And it’s absolutely not true for me.

Allan: Boy, Laura’s quite the gal. To describe her – she’s 100+ miles an hour. I’m pretty happy to go 55 or 60.

Laura: He’s giving himself credit – he’s like 30. He is such a sweet teddy bear. He cries more than I do.

Allan: I worked at a grocery store for 15 years and I really didn’t like the white shirt and tie thing and finally quit and opened up a little body shop. It’s a great carrier – something I love to do.

Laura: I got married very young, right out of high school and it was a bad marriage right from the beginning. I knew, I just needed to change my life.

Alan: My first marriage, I was married for 15 years to a wonderful gal. And I started making a few bad choices. I started drinking, started drinking a little more and I messed our marriage up. You know, 100% my fault. And of course, we got divorced and I hated myself, I hated myself for what I did to my family.

Laura: Lucky there’s life after divorce and good life after divorce. I met Allan.

Allan: The day I met her was a Sunday morning, I had a hangover, as usual. And boy, I think I fell in love with her in a matter of seconds – head over heels. Absolutely crazy in love with her. And she must have been really blind because she fell in love with me too. The day I met her, that Sunday morning was… it’s been 20 years ago. It was the last I ever drank and that’s an amazing thing to me cause I tried to quit a lot of times. She got me back on the right track. There’s never a second that goes by in a day that I don’t think about that. I’ll be eternally thankful to God for giving me another chance.

Laura: He helped me understand what a real relationship is about and I’m so grateful for him, for saving my life.

Allan: I’m Allan Wilfred.

Laura: My name is Laura Wilfred and I’m a mom.

Allan: I’m a father, I’m a husband.

Laura: I’m a chef.

Allan: I’m an off-road enthusiast.

Laura: I’m a goer.

Allan: I’ve been sober for 20 years.

Laura: I just love life!

Allan: I grow funny mustaches.

Laura: And I’m a Mormon.

Allan: And I’m a Mormon.

I was born in Madrid, Spain – the greatest country on Earth. I wanted to be a journalist since I was little. Journalism in general I think is the greatest profession ever. I do radio, I do TV, I produce and then I anchor the news. I have amazing persons on the news.

I worked up to almost my 9th month of pregnancy and then I decided that I was going to take a break and it was great. I remember spending the next 10 months with my baby. I remember watching him grow. But then of course, reality happened and eventually, it was time to find a solution for our family. So we decided that the best thing for us right now was me going back to work and then my husband stays home with the baby.

You know, it’s been an adjustment for my husband being a stay at home dad. We’re kind of dividing – we’re both having an active role in Diego’s life. I’m always asking my husband how’s he doing and in the first weeks he’d call me and be like “Everything is the same – there’s no change, it’s the same routine”. But he’s just an awesome dad.

I mean, I’m still trying to find the perfect balance. We’re working a system that’s working for us. I don’t know what the future will bring, but right now, it’s working. I come home to a beautiful baby and during the day I also do what I love. I always find strength in my faith and I think that’s what keeps me going and going. I trust my kid in God’s hands and he knows I can do all these things if I have those beliefs. I think it would be very hard to exceed, to be successful in anything else.

I am a journalist, a mother, I always wear heals. My name is Irene Caso and I’m a Mormon.

I’m a paramedic firefighter for the city of Los Angeles. I really love being a firefighter paramedic. I love being in the thick of things. Everything’s chaotic and you kind of bring some order to that chaos in your training and I really love doing that, it’s what I trained for. There’s 106 fire stations and it doesn’t seem like it’s enough. Seems like it should be 500 fire stations. For 3000 employees to handle well over 4 million people…

Sadly though, one day all that changed for me. I suffered a heart attack. Actually I’ve had two heart attacks from ’07 to now, December of ’07 when I had a second one. I was removed from the field, which is to say no more firefighting or paramedic work which is very, very difficult for me. Gosh, I miss this! I miss being out there, working the paramedic work. I miss it a whole lot. It looks pretty crazy doing a job like that, but we love doing it.

We lost our home due to that difficulty and due to that loss of wages at that time. To see that go away was a tough deal. At this point, I changed my whole focus. I changed family life, I changed a lot of things. The job I have now is quite different. It involves working with the media and the public. Before, I was out there in the thick of things. And now, I’m behind the scenes. I’m heard but never seen.

I get to see everything that’s going on in the city, from stabbings to shootings to fires to car accidents, to deliveries of babies – I get to see them all! And that could be overwhelming sometimes, so it’s a different workload that you take home with you. So, on the drive home, I love listening to the Scriptures. That’s decompression for me and it puts me in the right frame of mind to think about spiritual things and that keeps my focus on the drive home so that, when I see my kids, I’m appreciative about not only what others have lost that day, be it that they lost their house to a fire – I can focus on those things and be happy that I have my family, my health and my happiness.

I’m a Los Angeles city firefighter paramedic. My name is Devin Gales and I’m a Mormon.
